Through the green passage of Chakrashila

Date 19th Dec 1010. Destination Chakrashika Wildlife Sanctuary. The journey started from Nagarbera at 6 o clock in the morning. Foggy winter morning. Me and my father started towards Chakrashila. Our car was passing through the natural beauty and the tea garden of simlitola. By 11.30 we reached Salkosha, from there we started towards the wildlife sanctuary. Its around 3-4 kilometer from the national highway 31. We meet Soumyadeep Datta da on the way to the place. He was on the way to Salkosha for some shopping. We reached the camp and we meet Durga da and Kharam da there. They were two local Rabha people, who has a great contribution in conserving the Chakrashila Wildlife Sanctuary. There was already a team in that camp that team has came from dibrugarh. All of them were college student and they were there for their college project.

By the time we reached the camp there was a team of Golden Langur playing and eating around the camp. I was able to take lots of photograph of those langur. We finisher our tea and took a little stroll in the jungle.

After some time Soumydeep Datta came and we started to talk. Datta has vast knowledge about wildlife and about jungle. He told us about the conservation movement he started here to save the forest and the wildlife. He also shared his experience of jungle with us.

At around 1.30 the student team came back and after some time at around 2 PM we had our lunch. Datta got little busy as he has to manage everything in the camp. After lunch Kharam da and Durga da got busy with arranging the tent for us. We had a little chat with the student and they got busy with their field work. We had a conversation with Soumyadeep Datta da and Marami Bou(his wife). I learned lots of thing about jungle, about the animal, birds, etc.

In the evening me my father and Datta stared tracking in the jungle. After tracking around one hour we reached the small string named Mauri jora, it was a small string with fresh and cold water. I washed my hands and face in that string. During the trek Datta told us how the forests are being destroyed. He also discussed about the golden langur and about their food habit, their social life, and various related things with it. He also told us how he got interested in this conservation issue,

After having the fresh water from that string we started towards the camp, on the way we entered the village and went to Bhadreswer’s house, he was also involved in the conservation movement of Chakrashila. When we reached the camp it was already dark.

I joined the group of the student while my father and Datta were busy in talking. A bonfire was arranged and the student began to sing along with the tune of the guitar. It continued till 8.30 O’ clock. At 9 we had our diner. The student got busy arranging their tents while me, my father, Soumyadeep da, and Marami bou, sit around the fire. We started talking about the jungle experience. We talk till 10 O’clock, as it was very cold there and the fog started we finished our discussion and entered out tent.

Next morning we woke up very early in the morning. I had a chance 2 capture the sunrise. At first the jungle was full of fog the sun came out slowly removing the curtains of fog. I was able to take some photographs satisfying me.

The fog continued till 9 o clock. In the mean time we had breakfast. We went out for tracking again. We reached the top of the hill. Wonderful view from the top, the lake was visible from distant. Had a lot of conversation with Soumyadip Datta. Got to know a lot about the jungle. Finally after 3 hours of tracking we came back to the camp, after some time we had lunch. Kharam da cooked a wonderful meal. We had smoked pork as a special dish it was awesome.

After a little rest we started towards home. It was a wonderful experience for me. Those two days in the mist of jungle taught me a lot.

The time i have spend with nature...

The Time I have spend with nature...

I don"t know why i get very much aggressive in some issues.. yes I am writing this in a very aggressive mood. 1st of all I am sick of this environmental degradation specially pollution and the dust. I am a nature lover. I want to live in the midst of nature. Nature has given me ... me???? only me??? not you??? We all are living in this earth only because of nature... and what we have given in return..pollution, diseases, natural disaster etc etc.

But i can remember some of my childhood days which i have spent in the midst of nature. I have spend my 18 eyers of my life in a village. My village is situated in the southern most part of the Kamrup district of Assam. And my house was surrounded by the paddy field. There was a huge elephant-apple (ou tenga) tree on the next plot of my house.. the tree was full of orchid and "raghumola" “rabonor nai” I dont know what it is called in English or in Hindi... that tree was very huge and old.. it was the shelter for a large no. of birds, including owl and bat... I can still remember the sound that used to come from that tree and the smell of the bat... but that plot was sold to someone. and the tree was cut down. destroying the houses of the birds.. now there is a house for a human. with 24 hour running water.. 24 hour running water!!!! what does it mean, why I have mentioned this??? Let me explain.. once upon a time we required (in my village) only 3-4 pipes(70 feet) for a tube well to get fresh water.. now we need at-least 5 (100feet)pipes to get the fresh water..I hope u have got my point..the water level is going down day by day..

The school I studied till class 10 was one of the oldest school of that area.. in 5th standard when I took admission in the school, was Surrounded by a large no of old trees.. but while I was in class 8 all the trees of the school were cut down..I dont know the region.. {May be the head master has some explanation for this..]

I used to go to Bhaiti Dadas (my uncle) home very often. In fact I have grown up at his place. with my grand ma. Some time I used to return home from his home at night. I had a short cut through the high school filed. At night the whole School field was used be filled with JONAKI porua.

My Experience with TATA Photon+

I am frustrated enough to write a blog against this company.

Tata photon+ got gadget of the year NDTV tech life award. I am surprised to here this while i called the tata customer care. How can it be possible???? tata indicom is one of the unmanaged company of India. how can they get the award?

I am using tata photon+ since july 2009. on the 1st month i used it for only about 15-17 days.. and they send me a bill of Rupees 5666. and they disconnected my connection saying that i have exceed the credit limit. i called the customer care several times. but finally they solved my problem after complaining it to the nodal officer.

After that i changed my tariff plan and. I took 1100 plan which gives me 10 gb data for one month. I have never used that much of data in a month but they use to send me a bill of 1300-2200 every month.. I thought chalo jo vi ho mera kaam chal to raha hai..

Now they have launched a new plan where i should get 10 gb data at the speed of 3.1 mbps and after that the speed will come down to 250kbps 4 unlimited use. I requested them to change my tariff plan to that new plan ..

On 3 rd of this month the new plan got activated. and i have started getting the speed of 15kbps... i complained it to the customer care several times. every time they says that they will solve my problem within 24 hours. but already 10 days has passed. some executive has visited my place for the 3rd times but nothing has changed. some executive says that my device will be replaced some other says its the problem of the server. i complained it to the nodal officer also but nothing has changed yet...

Now i dont hav any other option to get this things fixed.I will definitely disconnect my Tata Photon+ in the next month.

now do you really want to go for this product...

Even what kind of word, language, tone, pitch, are to be used, from selecting the background music to writing of the slugs.

I have worked on the on the Naxal issue, the Kashmir Valley issue, The issue of CWG corruption etc etc. I will tell you what i have learned from this. It will be difficult for me to write on all the topic in one article so i am going to write separate articles for all the topic..
